After a very successful South African National Gliding Championships held at Bloemfontein Gliding Club, we have the results for you. Bloemfontein Gliding Club thanks all the people involved behind the scenes that made things happend and also the pilots and their families.
On "home soil", Phill Fellows obtained a 7th place in the Club Class and Theo a 9th in the 15m Class and we are sure that they enjoyed the anual time out in the blue skies.

 The Jonkers dominated the Open Class with Attie Jonker in the JS-1 Revelation sailplaine which the Jonkers and their team designed and built from the ground up. It must be an amazing feeling to win a competition in the very aircraft you designed and built, and it is sure a good advert for Jonker Sailplanes.
 The Standard / 15 m class yealded interesting results where John Coutz from New Zealand in an ASW 20 beat Laurens Goudriaan in his ASW 27 with a mere 21 points.
 Andrew (Andries) Bester from the Eastern Cape dominated the Club class
in his 13m Salto with 6551 points beating Bobby Clifford with more than
1000 points. To see a Salto in a
gliding competition is very uncommon and we are sure a few eyebrows was lifted in the process.
