How many hours of flight will I need before I can fly alone? |
In gliding, you are evaluated on how good you fly,
and not how many hours you have flown. Some pupils could go solo
after about 25 flights. Others take longer. It depends on the
pupil. We will rather take more flights to send you solo, but be
sure that you are ready for it. After the pupil went solo, there
are various excersises and goals he has to reach to get his
licence. Among things he needs to write a theory examination, get
a radio license, and qualify medically. He would also do an out
landing or simulated out landing. It is therefore difficult to say
how many hours it will take, because it depends on the pupil's
progress.
